Matthew Connell and Andre Dixon speak with Pro Fifa player Jaime ‘Jamboo’ Rigden about the upcoming ePremier League competition, where competitors for all 20 Premier League clubs will battle it out over four months through online qualification and club playoffs to reach the ePL Finals in March/April 2021.
2020/21 ePL key dates
Registration open untill the 15th January:
4-31 January: Online qualification
15 February-3 March: Club playoffs
March/April 2021: ePremier League Finals
The finals, which over the last two seasons have reached more than 22 million fans, will again be broadcast live on Sky Sports, Premier League channels and the EA SPORTS FIFA Twitch channel.
Unique chance
The reigning champion is Watford’s “Hashtag Tom” Leese, who beat AFC Bournemouth’s Marc “MarcMarleyyy” Marley 2-1 on aggregate in the cross-console Grand Final.
“I would recommend the competition to FIFA players as ePL is a massive tournament with a lot of people watching,” said Tom.
“It also gives you the unique chance to try and represent your favourite Premier League team. And if you’re looking to break into professional FIFA then this is the perfect opportunity for UK gamers to showcase their talent.”
The competition is open to UK residents aged 16 and over and will again take place on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One.
What’s on offer
As well as the champion taking home the trophy and a share of the £40,000 prize pot, there will also be seats on offer for top-ranking players at the EA SPORTS™ FIFA 21 Global Series (FGS) European Playoffs.
Online qualifiers are now open and players can still register to represent their favourite clubs at e.premierleague.com
