Tech Now: Hamilton with Dolby

Sunday night (June 21) during the 2020 ESPYs, Disney premiered the trailer for “Hamilton,” the filmed version of the original Broadway production – and confirmed the award-winning musical will stream on Disney+ on July 3. Announced today, the production will be available in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. This means you, and everyone else that is dying to hear the soundtrack again, will get to experience this once-in-a-lifetime performance as if you were at The Richard Rodgers Theater on Broadway!

So that you can watch Hamilton in style on Friday, here are a few top tips on how to experience this unforgettable Broadway production in Dolby.

Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos will let viewers experience Hamilton “from the best seat in the house.”

Dolby Vision will make the vibrant colors of each character’s costume pop and you’ll see details in the set design that you would only notice if you were in the front row. With Dolby Atmos, musical numbers such as the iconic “Alexander Hamilton” and “My Shot” will sound incredible as all the elements move around you and the score comes alive.

How to experience Hamilton in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos
