Tech Now: Bang & Olufsen

Danish audio pioneers, Bang & Olufsen, launches Beoplay E8 Sport – the brands first venture into true wireless, luxury sports earphones.

Designed to improve performance through the power of music, Beoplay E8 Sport combines Bang & Olufsen’s renowned and world-class audio with superior craftsmanship and design to create a set of sports earphones suitable for both professional athletes and casual runners alike.

The earphones are housed in a compact wireless charging case that is made from materials frequently used in the sports industry, such as rubber and textured silicone, with strong and corrosion-resistant anodised aluminium that has been a Bang & Olufsen trademark for more than 50 years.

Design elements such as a ridged detail help with grip during intense exercise and the earphones can switch between tracks, take calls and activate Transparency Mode all with a simple tap or swipe of the finger. With 7 hours of playtime from the earphones and an additional 3 charges in the case, E8 Sport provide up to 30 hours of playtime. E8 Sport also has an IP57 certification which fully protects them from dust, sweat, and water intrusion of up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.

Beoplay E8 Sport will be available from Thursday 9th July in Bang & Olufsen stores, in select third-party retailers and online at The earphones will retail for £300.
