British actor and comedian Tom Rosenthal is set to host a brand-new reality TV show, ReFreshers Week presented by Strongbow, which will follow eight ‘ReFreshers’ on a journey discovering new places, new people whilst fearlessly taking on new challenges.
An all-star line-up of celeb guests include queen of reality herself, Gemma Collins, rapper Lady Leshurr, superstar DJ Jodie Harsh, Charlotte Dawson, and comedians London Hughes and Ed Gamble, whose participation in hosting uni-inspired tasks will remind both the viewers and cast of a time when life was carefree. Imagine going back to a time where your biggest decision was whether to spend your last fiver on club entry or food for the next week.
Strongbow and MTV are teaming up in a five-part series documenting the highs and lows of Uni life, so whether you went or not, everyone can feel part of the class. Each week the ‘ReFreshers’ will compete in everything from exploring a brand-new city to last minute cramming for a presentation all about Gemma Collins. Participants will be put through their paces with one ultimate winner bagging a cash prize of £25,000 and the opportunity to refresh their lives.
What’s more, Strongbow is giving everyone the chance to be a winner and relive a special memory from a time they felt most free. By simply heading to Strongbow UK’s Facebook or Twitter and commenting or replying to the pinned post with a favourite memory using @StrongbowUK #RefreshYourStatus. The most special memory will be relived for one lucky winner!
Tom Rosenthal, actor and comedian said: “I was honoured to be given the position of the Dean at ReFreshers University. Taking on such an esteemed role gave me a chance to educate, to mentor and to question my professional decision-making. Just like Freshers’ Week style this show will introduce you to some great people, some fine people and some absolute bozos.”
Gemma Collins, queen of reality TV said: “As a natural diva, I absolutely love being in charge as a Professor and I’m considering speaking to the Uni of Essex about launching an official degree in GC. I didn’t go to university, but this show really gives me a flavour for Freshers’ Week and all the lols that come with it.”
ReFreshers Week presented by Strongbow launches on Monday 24th September at 10pm on MTV, and will run across five weekly, one-hour episodes. The show was produced by Viacom’s Elephant House Studios.
