We all want to start each year the best way we can, so we go out and spend a bunch of money on outfits, club entries, booze, food and cab fares only to do the same with we do each year. This time we’re breaking the cycle, we’re focusing on making 2019 the best year ever – full of new experiences, fun times and exciting challenges! But how can we ensure that this year is made of real incredible moments? Our step by step guide reveals our top tips on how to make the most of 2019!
GET YOURSELF THAT DREAM CAREER
We spend most of our week at work, so if we don’t like our jobs then we’re almost guaranteed to spend most of our time wanting time to pass! This year, we challenge you to take those steps towards finding your dream career. Whether it means creating business plans for your own start up, or searching for that incredible position that just has your name all over it- make those steps towards being happy at home and at work! Remember, if you really love your job it won’t feel like a job at all.
SAVE THOSE PENNIES
Saving can be pretty tough, especially with the temptations of those January sales, but saving even a little at the end of each month will make a massive difference to your finances. Putting that £20 lying in your pocket away in your savings could contribute towards a trip, a nice evening out or even that large home purchase you’ve been dreaming of. Having disposable money in the bank is a great way to end the year, so work on saving all those coins and see the benefits!
TRY A NEW THING EACH MONTH
A great year solely relies on what experiences you have, if you don’t put yourself out there and try new things you’ll never get out of the loop! Try at least one new thing per month; whether it be as small as trying a new dish or going to a new event with some friends, fill your year with brand new adventures to keep you smiling!
FORGET YOUR DAILY ROUTINE
Routines are the worst, they stop you from thinking outside the box and keep you confined within four walls. Break those walls and get out of your new routine to try something new – even if it’s just trying a new coffee, going a different route or eating a different breakfast it’ll all add to making your year even more brilliant.
HAVE A SOCIAL LIFE
No more relying on social media friends and likes. It’s hard to remember that your friends are real people sometimes, not just virtual names on a screen! Plan a nice evening out with your closest mates and have some real laughs not just LOL’s – you never know which night will be the best of the year!
