An enormous Disney Winnie the Pooh-inspired beehive has arrived at St. Pancras International, bringing a touch of Hundred Acre Wood magic to one of London’s busiest transport hubs. Created by Fortnum & Mason in collaboration with Disney, the 8.4-metre installation celebrates 100 years of Disney Winnie the Pooh with an immersive tribute to honey, nature, and one of the world’s most beloved fictional bears – along with an exclusive release of a limited edition anniversary collection to mark the occasion.
Located beside Fortnum & Mason’s St. Pancras store, the giant Eau de Nil beehive invites visitors inside to explore an immersive space inspired by a working hive. The playful escape from the bustling station offers illuminated honeycomb interiors, gentle sounds of buzzing bees, interactive storytelling, and a map of the 100 Aker Wood for guests to explore. Artist Paul Badham has created 56 handcrafted recycled metal bees, with 50 displayed at Fortnum’s Picadilly flagship, and six oversized ones displayed across the installation’s exterior.
The launch also introduces Fortnum & Mason’s exclusive Disney Winnie the Pooh collection, now available in store and online. The limited-edition range includes the world’s first official 100 Aker Wood Hunny, alongside illustrated biscuits, teas, confectionery, homeware, and the Winnie the Pooh Collector’s Hamper.
Beyond the installation itself, Fortnum & Mason’s partnership with Disney Winnie the Pooh highlights the brand’s long-standing commitment to beekeeping and biodiversity. The retailer’s four working beehives sit on the roof of St. Pancras International, while a further 20 community hives are supported along the high-speed rail route connecting the station with the Channel Tunnel. As part of its wider sustainability efforts, Fortnum’s uses its beekeeping heritage to champion the importance of pollinators, supporting bee health and conservation initiatives that help protect ecosystems for the future.
St. Pancras International, a Grade I listed station, welcomes more than one million visitors each week, and has become known for its programme of cultural experiences alongside its retail and dining offering. Fortnum & Mason’s St. Pancras store offers travellers the chance to pick up its signature teas, hampers, Scotch eggs, and gifts before boarding, while the beehive installation adds another landmark moment to the station’s summer calendar.
The Disney Winnie the Pooh beehive installation is now open at St. Pancras International, Euston Road, London, N1C 4QP. The exclusive limited-edition Fortnum & Mason Disney Winnie the Pooh 100th Anniversary Collection is also available in selected stores, and online for a limited time right here.
