The holiday break is almost over and even though we must put down the minced pies and ease off on the afternoon naps, at least we can use nan’s Christmas money to get us looking right just in time for Uni. We’re going to talk you through the top sneakers to wear whilst attending those lectures (and raves).

You can never go wrong with a pair of fresh converse; they’re perfect for that every day clean look. They’re always reasonably priced and go with pretty much everything, from jeans to shorts. The typical canvas versions are great for the summer, but if you’re looking for some nifty winter sneakers converse can also compete. Leather converses are great for tackling the winter blues away.

Nike and Adidas have both taken a hard go at the runner sneaker and both have succeeded. From the Nike Free Run’s to the Adidas boosts, runners are great for adding that extra style to your outfit. They go great with skinny jeans, jogger pants and even shorts. The prices can range from high to low, but there are plenty of editions to keep every pocket happy.

Everyone owns a pair of vans. Perfect for everyday use, Vans are great for adding a bit of pattern to a simple outfit. From the hi-tops to the low cut old skools, there’s a vans for every style. They range from checkered to plain so whether you want to go for understated or loud you’ll find a style that suits your every mood.

Nike’s Jordan’s will never disappoint. With over 30 variations to choose from there’s a Jordan shoe for every occasion. Jordan 1’s will forever be a Verge favourite – but if you’re going for a more flashy appearance then Jordan 4’s are worth considering. Jordan’s can be a bit pricey, but they will last a lifetime (if taken care of properly). Besides, money’s for spending, no?
