The Brazilian flip-flop empire Ipanema has just announced a new Style Ambassador, Sarah-Jane Crawford, to represent the brand in the UK â€“ a first for the summer footwear provider.
As a presenter onÂ BBC1Xtra, Crawfordâ€™s bright and bubbly personality is a perfect match for Ipanemaâ€™s tropically stylish designs.
â€œAs a summer-loving girl, I cannot wait to launch the Ipanema campaign,â€ Crawford commented.
Channeling the beaches and people from Brazil, Ipanema embodies summer vibes with a Spanish flair. They credit â€œthe beauty of Brazilâ€™s natural habitatsâ€ as their style inspiration, aptly,Â Gisele BÃ¼ndchenÂ was a previousÂ spokesperson of the brand from 2002 – 2014.
Crawford intends to further the already impressive success of the brand in her new position. One of Crawfordâ€™s prospects as the Style Ambassador is to launch the new hashtag campaign â€œ#GetYourSocksOffâ€ to encourage Brits to shed their socks in favor of their strappy sandals.
But thereâ€™s more to Ipanema than just summer sun and walks on the beach. Theyâ€™re also big on sustainable practices through every aspect of the manufacturing process. The slides are made from 100% recyclable PVC, with material that can be recycled over and over in an effort to reduce their carbon footprint. Theyâ€™re also big supporters of localization, producing all their products in their own factories in Northern Brazil.
With an already glowing reputation, Ipanema welcomes Crawford with open arms to theÂ team.
