San Antonio Spurs coach Becky Hammon to Feature in Latest Jr. NBA Coaches

The NBA today announced San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Becky Hammon will take part in the latest Jr. NBA Coaches – Online program, a virtual resource and content platform offering drills, instructional videos and clinics to basketball coaches.  The program will be hosted on Sunday, Sept. 27 on the OWQLO App at 8pm BST and 9pm CST, the official Jr. NBA League app in Europe and the Middle East.

Former WNBA player and now NBA coach Becky Hammon is a trail blazer for female coaches, being only the second-ever female coach in NBA history, the first full-time female assistant coach, as well as the first-ever woman to be part of the NBA All-Star coaching staff when she served as assistant coach of Team West during the 2016 NBA All-Star Game. Hammon also had a prolific WNBA career, playing from 1999-2014 for the New York Liberty and the San Antonio Stars. She also played extensively in Europe for Rivas Ecópolis, CSKA Moscow, Ros Casares Valencia, Nadezhda Orenburg and Spartak Moscow Region.

Registrations are now being accepted to the latest Jr. NBA Coaches – Online program and is open to all registered users over 16 years old. The clinics will also include a Q&A section with Hammon, allowing participants to interact with and learn directly from the guest coach.

Since April 2020, the OWQLO App has hosted an interactive Jr. NBA at Home content series providing basketball workouts and drills that can be completed individually and in limited space to help young players around the world stay active and develop their game.
