PUMA, TOPPS AND CRAIG BLACK TURN PREMIER LEAGUE MATCH BALL INTO ONE-OF-ONE WORK OF ART!

PUMA, Topps and Scottish visual artist Craig Black have teamed up to celebrate the launch of the new Topps Flagship Premier League 2026/27 collection with a one-of-a-kind football-inspired art installation in London.

The worlds of football, trading cards and contemporary art have collided as Scottish artist Craig Black brought his signature Acrylic Fusion technique to an official Premier League match ball at the Fanatics Collectibles store on Regent Street.

The collaboration celebrates the arrival of the new Topps Flagship Premier League 2026/27 trading card collection, which brings together Premier League stars, emerging talent, legends and a host of collectible inserts and autograph cards.

The new collection is available through the official Topps Premier League store, giving collectors the chance to hunt for everything from Future Stars and rare parallels to autograph cards and limited-edition inserts.

Craig Black Gives the Premier League Ball an Artistic Makeover

For the London activation, Craig Black transformed an official NITROFOAM Premier League match ball using his instantly recognisable Acrylic Fusion® technique.

Known for creating vibrant, textured artworks by manipulating layers of acrylic paint, Black has previously worked with major global names including Disney, FIFA and Porsche.

The result was a completely one-of-one Premier League match ball, combining PUMA’s football technology with Black’s distinctive artistic style.

The ball itself is based on PUMA’s official Premier League match ball for the 2026/27 season. The STELLAR NITRO features PUMA’s NITROFOAM technology and an eight-panel construction designed to deliver a responsive touch and predictable flight.

You can find out more about PUMA’s current Premier League football range via the official PUMA UK website.

A One-of-One Topps Artist Card

The collaboration didn’t stop at the football.

Alongside the hand-painted match ball, Black also unveiled a 1/1 Topps Premier League artist card, individually painted using his Acrylic Fusion® technique and signed by the artist.

The unique card adds an artistic twist to the growing world of football collecting, where rare cards, limited editions and one-of-one releases have become major attractions for collectors.

The 2026/27 Topps Flagship Premier League collection features a 300-card base set alongside inserts including All Kings, Gold Lions, Diamond Rookies, Black Edge, Chrome Classics, Retro Threads and 8-Bit Ballers.

For collectors chasing something even rarer, the collection also includes short prints, numbered parallels, relics and a deep autograph line-up featuring current stars, rising talents and Premier League legends.

Robbie Fowler Joins the Celebration

The artwork was created live at the Fanatics Collectibles store on Regent Street in front of footballers, media and invited creators.

Among those attending was Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler, who was on hand as the unique artwork came to life.

The event reportedly attracted more than 300 attendees to the Regent Street store, with Premier League legends, creators and collectors coming together to celebrate the new Topps collection and the collaboration between Topps, PUMA and Craig Black.

The activation offers a fresh take on football memorabilia, bringing together two very different forms of collecting: the traditional appeal of trading cards and the increasingly creative world of football-inspired art.

Where Art Meets Football Collecting

The collaboration arrives at an interesting moment for football memorabilia, with trading cards continuing to appeal to both dedicated collectors and a new generation of fans.

Topps Flagship Premier League 2026/27 is designed as a season-long snapshot of the competition, featuring established stars alongside the next generation of Premier League talent.

The Topps Flagship Premier League 2026/27 collection is available from 17 September 2026.
