PIANO PEOPLE REVEAL 30+ NAMES FOR WORLD’S BIGGEST AMAPIANO FESTIVAL

Piano People has announced the star studded lineup for world’s biggest Amapiano festival at Drumsheds London today, headlined by legendary twin brother duo Major League DJz. This one of a kind festival on 19th November 2023 is set to make London an undisputed Amapiano hotspot, and brings the party to the brand new 15,000 capacity venue which opens its doors for the first time this winter.

Having made a name for hosting all the hottest acts and future stars to come from South Africa, Piano People are changing the game once again. Uniting the London club scene in one truly unmissable party, over 30 names have been announced today for the biggest lineup seen in the capital, and even the world.

Among Amapiano’s biggest stars is the special guest and musical polymath DJ Maphorisa, superstar DBN Gogo, South Africa’s own star boy Musa Keys, dynamic duo TXC, self-proclaimed Soulful King Kelvin Momo, and crowd favourite Uncle Vinny – all bringing the groove to London’s inaugural indoor festival this November. Also joining the all-dayer is Babalwa M, Sino Msolo, Charisse C, Skyla Tylaa, Nicky Summers, Fistoz and a special B2B set between YUMBS and Soa Mattrix.

Joining Amapiano’s biggest and brightest is member of the hip-hop collective Anti World Gangstars Omudodublvck and trailblazer of alté Boj and rap genius Blaqbonez who will be headlining the Lit Lagos stage, set to celebrate the sounds from every corner of the continent. Dankie Sounds, MIXRMOE and DJ P Montana & Friends will all take to the second stage for a night of Afrobeats’ best sound systems.

In the style of Piano People’s pioneering ways, the festival introduces a brand new stage, European Groove, which will host the hottest acts to come straight out of Europe. These include Tik Tok’s favourite Amapiano mixologist DJ Phaphane, Amsterdam’s own Unruly Phoenix and many more newcomers from the world’s fastest growing genre.

Off the back of delivering impeccable stages at Afro Nation Portugal – which saw Uncle Waffles close the show this July to a 20k strong crowd on the beach – and Afro Nation Miami, Piano People also launched London’s first ever Amapiano residency with Major League DJz hosting shows that brought together the likes of Tiffany Calver, Benji B, Wizkid and Rema for a series of unmissable nights. Piano People will also be producing London Carnival Warm Up parties around the UK in August with Young Stunna and Tyler ICU – the artist behind the hottest Amapiano track right now, ‘Mnike’. Ending a massive year on a huge high, Piano People’s first one-day festival is set to be the biggest event in the scene by far and a landmark moment for London’s vibrant dance music community. Amapiano to the World!

Speaking about the announcement, the Piano People organisers said: “We’re really looking forward to this, it’s our biggest show to date & can’t wait to see the talent come together for such a special moment.”
