Piano People In The Park has announced the star studded lineup today for the first ever outdoor event, headlined by Amapiano Godfathers Scorpion Kings. London’s brand new one day festival takes place Friday 23rd August 2024 at Southwark Park, and is set to make London the undisputed Amapiano hotspot outside of the home of the sound; South Africa.
Having made a name for hosting all the hottest acts and future stars exploding out of South Africa, Piano People are changing the game once again this summer. Uniting the London club scene in one truly unmissable party, over 15 names have been announced today for the best Amapiano lineup seen in the capital.
Joining Scorpion Kings (DJ Maphorisa & Kabza De Small) is special guest and South African dance music pioneer Oskido, superstar vocalist Young Stunna, superkid Vigro Deep, Soulful Queen MaWhoo, London’s very own Via Seri and the crowd’s favourite host Uncool MC – all bringing the groove to London’s inaugural outdoor festival this August bank holiday. This year also brings a special twist with Afro Tech and Afro House’s hottest acts joining the star studded line up, including 3-Step King Thakzin, Zakes Banwtini and Atmos Blaq, all celebrating the depth of South Africa’s rich history of incredible Black electronic music.
In the style of Piano People’s pioneering ways, the festival sees the return of their much loved European Groove stage, which will host the next generation of acts to come straight out of Europe. These include London’s Kwamzy and Shannen SP, UK Latin DJ Sofi Mlow, Amsterdam’s Unruly Phoenix, Manchester’s Joe Shamzz and more.

Off the back of delivering impeccable stages at Afro Nation Portugal – which saw Uncle Waffles close the show last July to a 20k strong crowd on the beach – and Afro Nation Miami, Piano People also launched London’s first ever Amapiano residency with Major League DJz hosting shows that brought together the likes of Tiffany Calver, Benji B, Wizkid and Rema for a series of unmissable nights. Piano People crowned 2023 on a massive high, with Piano People’s first one-day festival at Drumsheds being the biggest event in the scene by far and a landmark moment for London’s vibrant dance music community. Piano People In The Park now brings Amapiano to the world with their first US show being held in the monumental Central Park, New York, this summer.
