National Vietnamese favourite Pho has released limited-edition gluten-free themed bundles on Deliveroo, to mark Coeliac Awareness Month, and plans a full coeliac-takeover of the London Bridge restaurant to cater for those with dietary requirements without having to spend time scanning the menu for suitable choices.
Being one of the few nationwide restaurant groups where diners can enjoy a nutritious, balanced, and delicious meal without restrictions, Pho remains the perfect choice for most dietary requirements – with its dishes packed with essential vitamins, fresh ingredients, and rich choices for all tastes, with its all year menu being 98% gluten-free.
Pho is a long-standing favourite for all things Vietnamese cuisine, offering a multi-sensory experience with vibrant décor and the scents of their signature 12-hour simmered bone broths and freshly cut herbs. Between 13th and 19th May, the London Bridge spot will offer a full gluten-free menu, enabling those with intolerances to choose freely from the entire menu without worrying about decrypting the small print to find the appropriate dishes.
The new delivery bundles from Pho, available on Deliveroo, serve up a variety of Pho favourites including summer rolls, rice bowls, and refreshing juices. Choices include:
- ‘Gluten Pho-king Free’ – Chicken Summer Rolls with Peanut Sauce & Pork or Chicken Rice Bowl
- ‘Gluten Freedom’ – Veggie Summer Rolls with Peanut Sauce, Spicy Greens Soup (tofu or chicken) and a can of soda (your choice)
- ‘It’s Giving Coeliac’ – Chicken Wings and Chicken or Beef Curry
- ‘My Gluten Free Era’ – Prawn Summer Rolls with Peanut Sauce, Prawn Papaya Salad and Fresh Juice (Apple, Mint & Lime)
Having partnered with gluten-free food content/recipe creator and Celebrity Masterchef finalist Megan McKenna earlier this month to highlight their inclusive all-year menu, the restaurant also conducted a survey on food intolerances, indicating the difficulties that a growing number of people face in the diagnostic process, and in dealing with the results when dining out. Some key findings:
- Over half (55%) of Brits who believe they have a food intolerance agree that there aren’t enough accessible or varied options when it comes to eating out
- 7 in 10 (70%) Brits aged 16-24 get food intolerance symptoms
- On average, Brits who have been diagnosed with a food intolerance(s) said it took them 18 months to get diagnosed
- Over 2 in 5 (43%) respondents aged 16-24 have been diagnosed or think that they might have a food intolerance(s)
Pho has over 40 sites in the UK, and has been accredited by the Coeliac UK society for over 9 years, making it the ultimate spot for those with specific dietary requirements, and those looking for nutritious, flavoursome meals to eat out or grab on the go.
