PEPSI MAX GIVES FANS THE CHANCE TO DUET WITH THEIR FAVOURITE FOOTBALL STARS

Pepsi MAX is giving fans the chance to interact with their football heroes Leo Messi, Paul Pogba, Shanice Van de Sanden and Jadon Sancho like never before with the new #PepsiChallenge on TikTok, the world’s leading destination for short-form mobile video.  The iconic beverage brand is encouraging fans to get creative and demonstrate their own skills and tricks alongside the greats in a TikTok “Duet.”

The latest from the global 2021 Pepsi MAX football campaign, a series of both individual and paired videos capture the players showing off their footballing prowess for fans to enjoy and use for co-creation. Messi showcases his effortless skills with his famous left foot, Pogba demonstrates his usual flair and charisma by spinning a ball on his finger; van de Sanden effortlessly controls the ball with her trademark style; and Sancho can be seen showing off his many talents. Watch them in action.

Each video features ‘Rotate’, the latest track from global superstar Becky G and two-time Grammy nominated Afro-fusion musician Burna Boy, which was created specifically for Pepsi MAX football campaign, ‘Music Keeps Us Fizzing.’

To take part in the Duet, fans simply need to search for #PepsiChallenge on TikTok and select the player they want to pair with via the brand’s TikTok account, @PepsiGlobal. For more inspiration, check out Sabina Hildalgo and other members of global music group Now United, and Mexican football star Nayeli Rangel, as they take on the #PepsiChallenge. Pepsi MAX is also working with leading football creators to support the campaign including football freestyler and presenter @ben and football creator and freestyler @jenifer.rosas.

The ‘Music Keeps Us Fizzing’ campaign launched last week and will feature more exciting digital content launched across multiple social platforms over the coming months. The campaign will be activated in more than 80 countries worldwide and sits under the brand’s international platform and tagline, FOR THE LOVE OF IT, which launched in 2019 – encouraging fans to go all in for the things they love.
