The Affordable Art Fair celebrates its 20th anniversary at the Autumn Fair, 17-20 October in Battersea Park, London.
Alongside 114 galleries and 1,000s of original artworks at affordable prices, the Fair will celebrate 20 years of disrupting the art market through a host of workshops, talks and activities all with a nod to the ‘90s. From creating your very own pop culture and neon artworks to learning the trick to discovering the next YBA, the Fair will take visitors back to the decade where it all began.
The breakout artists of the past and the future will join forces in a special edition of the Recent Graduates’ exhibition. Since 1999, Founder Will Ramsay has used the Autumn Fair as a launchpad for the hottest new artists. This October artists from the past 20 years of the Fair will exhibit alongside the budding photographers, painters and sculptors of tomorrow.
Other highlights from the Fair include:
Cool Britannia
Recreate a Brit Art classic without breaking the bank with a Central St Martins’ led a workshop on neon portraiture in the style of YBA Gary Hume. If you’re looking to dip your toe into some ‘90s pop culture, you can learn how to draw cartoon classics like Bart Simpson and Beavis and Butthead with London Fine Art Studios, and even make your own scrunchie with textile designer Samantha Warren.
21stCentury YBAs
