Born in 1997, close friends Adrien and Clément grew up at the turn of the millennium, immersed in its dreams and disillusionments. Their birth year was also a pivotal moment in music history, marked by the rise of the French Touch and Britpop – two influential movements that would leave their mark on the duo’s early recordings two decades later.
In 2022, Kids Return unveiled their debut album Forever Melodies, marking the beginning of their musical journey. Within just a few months, the pair transitioned from performing a live session at the iconic Motorbass studio to playing sold-out gigs at prestigious Parisian venues such as La Maroquinerie and La Cigale. Their US tour followed, taking them from Los Angeles to Montreal, with a particularly memorable performance at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado.
In 2023, they travelled to Tokyo to take the stage at Summer Sonic, Japan’s premier festival. Along the way, their rise in the industry was further fuelled by numerous accolades, including representing France at Eurosonic where they won an MME Award, two appearances on the renowned French TV programme Quotidien (where they were named Best New Music Act of 2023), and multiple collaborations with the luxury brand Saint Laurent. Since the beginning of their career, Kids Return have garnered praise from global tastemakers such as GQ France, KCRW, and Flood Magazine. This year, they will be bringing their electrifying live performances to London, with a supporting slot at the Roundhouse in Camden on February 23rd.
Now, poised for an explosive 2025, Kids Return are undeniably a band to watch – the question is, are you ready to join them on this thrilling journey?
The Parisian indie-rock duo have just dropped their latest single, All Yours Now. A blend of 90s Britpop and French Touch, the track demonstrates their mastery in resurrecting these iconic genres, while putting their own suave twist on them. Set to make waves in the UK, the duo are gearing up for a spectacular year ahead.
This intimate, minimalist pop ballad showcases refined songwriting, reimagined production, and a rhythmic tension that builds throughout. Lyrically, it explores the transformative power of love, capturing the intensity of an instant connection. Written and recorded between the peaks of the Pyrenees and at the legendary Studios Saint Germain, All Yours Now tells the story of a deep, immediate connection, with the duo singing, “Can you be / Close to me / I’m yours now.”
Following the release of their previous single Time to Time, All Yours Now paves the way for Kids Return’s European tour in 2025, which will include highlights such as a headline performance at L’Olympia in Paris on May 14th, alongside appearances at iconic UK venues like Roundhouse and KOKO in London, Band On The Wall in Manchester, and Hangar34 in Liverpool.
Reflecting on the track, Kids Return explained: “This song captures the essence of love at first sight – the obsession that arises from a single glance, the overwhelming feeling that consumes you in that fleeting moment. It’s about devotion to another person, a life-altering connection that happens in the blink of an eye.”
