Papa John’s and Deliveroo deliver personalised pizza boxes for dads this Father’s Day

John, George and Peter have been voted the favourite dad names in a recent poll by Deliveroo. In response, the food delivery service has partnered up with Papa John’s to deliver personalised pizza boxes to dads tucking into a slice or two this Father’s Day weekend.

The survey of 2,000 people found that 40% of Brits who’ll be celebrating this year will be giving a personalised gift to dads this Father’s Day. Great news for dads, who picked something personalised (17%) as their top gift choice, followed closely by clothing (16%) and a takeaway (14%).

Whilst almost 20% of Brits admit to Father’s Day being the calendar date they are most likely to forget, eight in ten of us will be celebrating the day this year, whether it’s with a dad, grandad or another father figure.

With the population just starting to come out of lockdown, the coronavirus pandemic has seen a new sense of gratitude for dads across the country, with a fifth saying they appreciate their dad more.

London tops the regional charts, with almost a third (31%) saying that the pandemic has made them appreciate their dad more, followed by the Southwest (23%) and Wales (21%). It’s a different story in the North East as 41% say lockdown has increased their appreciation for their significant other and kids feel the appreciation (43%) in Northern Ireland.

They might have different opinions on how to pronounce “Bath”, but a fifth of respondents the North West (20%) and South West (21%) agree that something personalised is just what dads deserve this Father’s Day.

With restaurant doors closed due to coronavirus, we’re being forced to get creative with our Father’s Day plans this year. Some things never change, though; before the pandemic, women were spending an average of eight days planning for Father’s Day, while their male counterparts, took just five. Absolutely no change since the outbreak, but for those who leave it a little too late, there are personalised pizzas available from Papa John’s on Deliveroo.

The special edition boxes will be available for customers ordering a large pizza on Deliveroo from Papa John’s restaurants in London (Fulham)Manchester and Canterbury on June 20th and 21s between 6-8pm

How it works:
