Pantone Colour of the Year marsala transitions to summer

In January this year, Pantone released their colour of the year for 2015. A darker shade of purple close to cranberry, it is easy to work into winter colour palettes. However, transitioning it to summer can be a little bit more difficult.

The bohemian, ’70s look that has been popularized by music festivals such as Coachella provides a great way to add Marsala into summer clothes. Flowing, sheer dresses and crochet and fringe details add a breeziness and lightweight feel to an otherwise darker colour.
