OnlyFans is teaming up with sports streaming service DAZN in a major sponsorship and content partnership across a series of fight nights over the next 12 months.
The announcement comes following the Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia fight on 20th April in New York, where the long term rivals battled it out before Garcia defeated the WBC super lightweight champion in a major upset.
With OnlyFans the title sponsor and exclusive content creator platform for the event, fans can now subscribe to DAZN’s OnlyFans to catch all the post-fight action.
DAZN will use its page on OnlyFans as its dedicated online fanclub for multiple boxing events throughout the year, sharing custom content from fighters as they compete and taking the fan experience to the next level.
DAZN and OnlyFans will also partner to produce an exclusive new show for OFTV, titled ‘All Access’.
As an integral part of this partnership, individual fighters such as John ‘Scrappy’ Ramirez – who competed against David Jimenez on 20th April – will also join OnlyFans. He will be followed by others from across the DAZN boxing offering. Fans can expect behind-the-scenes footage, post-fight commentary, training tips and more on the OnlyFans platform.
“We are looking forward to collaborating with OnlyFans as a new partner, with over 150 fight nights a year, DAZN is the global home of boxing and with OnlyFans expansion into sports, and fight sports in particular, it is the perfect platform to partner with in order to push our fighters and content worldwide.”
Pete Oliver, CEO Growth Markets and Global Head of Boxing at DAZN
John ‘Scrappy’ Ramirez, added: “I am excited to join the OnlyFans team, starting at my fight against Jimenez. Together, we are a winning team!”
More than 200 combat sports athletes have launched on OnlyFans in the last two years across UFC, multiple boxing weight classes, Bellator, BKFC, Muay Thai and Wrestling, as well as international sports stars including UFC’s Stipe Miocic and Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios. Last year, the platform also announced a partnership with the Professional Fighters League.
Keily Blair, CEO of OnlyFans, said: “OnlyFans has changed how athletes engage with their fans in the digital era. With so many combat sports athletes sharing exclusive content on OnlyFans, we have become the go-to platform for creators and fans of boxing, MMA and more.
“This flagship partnership between two global entertainment platforms, DAZN and OnlyFans, will level up the fan experience by offering exclusive content from events and access to behind-the-scenes insights from the athletes competing, as well as continuing to provide compelling monetisation options for fighters.”
As the title sponsor for the Haney vs Garcia showdown, OnlyFans’ branding appeared throughout the Barclay Center on fight night and across the DAZN broadcast, which streamed in over 200 countries worldwide.
