Ahead of the first Grand Prix of the revised 2020 F1 season, the next F1 Tracks takeover has landed. This week globally-acclaimed DJ/producer Oliver Heldens curates a playlist of his favourite tracks.
The takeover features tunes guaranteed to bring the party vibes, including many of Oliver’s own tracks, “Details” ft. Boy Matthews, “This Groove”, “Gecko (Overdrive)” and “Take a Chance” amongst others. When asked to pick a song to be the new F1 theme tune, Oliver picked his new track “Rave Machine”, which has been highlighted as a tune destined for peak time.
As well as his Tracks takeover, Oliver is also set to host an adrenaline pumping virtual DJ set to celebrate the start of the F1 season. Oliver will deliver a special performance for F1 fans on Saturday 4th July, showcasing his legendary musical catalogue. The performance will be livestreamed across F1, Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, Heineken and Oliver Heldens social channels from 20:30 CEST on Saturday.
Q: Whats the best thing about F1?
A: All that talent combined into an insane sport event with athletes, technology, innovation, strategy, it’s not a one man show, it’s a team effort. I really like that team spirit.
Q: How excited are you to be playing?
A: Super excited! Same as F1, we artists have been waiting so long to perform again. The anticipation for it all to start again makes that first performance of the season a very special one. It’s an honour to perform at the F1 season opening. Can’t wait!
Q: What are you most looking forward to about F1 returning?
A: Max winning the wold championship 🙂

A: Max Verstappen off course!
Q: Favourite Team?
A: Red Bull Racing.
Q: Favourite Track?
A: Suzuka Japan, during a tour in Japan I was able to visit the track and learn about the historic races there. Also the atmosphere was amazing. It was a fantastic experience.
Q: If you could pick one song to be the new F1 theme?
A: Rave Machine!
Q: What are your favourite memories from following Formula 1?
A: Max and his first victory. We as Dutchies are super proud of him.
Q: Which F1 driver do think would make the best music artist and why?
A: Kimi! I definitely could see him spending hours in the studio, no talking, just music, working on ice cold beats 😉
Q: You could go to gig with 3 people dead or alive who would they be and what artist would you go see?
A: The Prodigy with my Brother, My Dad, Daniel Craig, can I bring Max too?
