No7’s Hit Range Future Renew Expands with SPF50 Defence Shield

The Future Renew range by No7 has enjoyed phenomenal success after its introduction last year – the UK’s biggest ever beauty launch. Ongoing research has indicated that the serum delivers even better results over time, reversing visible signs of sun damage in the process. Now, the brand has debuted an SPF50 daily defence shield, protecting against harmful rays just in time for the UK Spring.

Having launched earlier this month, No7 Future Renew Damage Protection Defence Shield SPF50 delivers a lightweight, invisible, and shine-free hydrating fluid, designed for everyday use and sittng flawlessly under makeup. Given that 40% of annual sun exposure happens outside of summertime, the product is specifically catered to fit into the normal skincare routine all year round, ensuring that people are using sun protection for cumulative daily UV exposure that causes both invisible and visible signs of damage.

As No7 marked the first anniversary of Future Renew this month, the range has continued to break new ground in skin damage reversal. The serum, containing a world-first super peptide blend which constituted one of the biggest breakthroughs in cosmetic science in a generation, underwent a rigorous 12-month clinical trial, and is now proven to deliver ongoing improvements over a year with consistent application. Additionally, the Future Renew serum has also demonstrated its ability to reverse visible signs of photodamage, such as pigmentation, fine lines and even wrinkles.

The world-first peptide technology has also been subject to ongoing research studies with the University of Manchester, making it the most extensively and diversely tested product range in the brand’s history. With over 5,100 participants across 52 trials, No7 found that 97% of women experienced a reduction in sun damage appearance in a split-face trial, and in a new user trial, 67% of women noticed a decrease in pigmentation and dark spots.

The super peptide blend was the fruition of a 15-year collaboration with the University of Manchester. Developed using cutting edge British R&D with a medical research approach over a cosmetics product development methodology, its findings were recently published in the British Journal of Dermatology and was presented at the prestigious American Academy of Dermatology Conference in San Diego in March 2024

The Future Renew range has seen phenomenal success since its launch, with over 500,000 transactions in the first month. Since, it has celebrated incredible stats, such as one product being sold every seven seconds, the range holding the record for the highest repeat purchase rate of any facial skincare in Boots, and the serums being the top two selling serums in store and online. A mark of premium UK quality in beauty, the range has expanded to Australia, the Nordics, Thailand and the US, seeing similar success there as the best-selling serum in Walgreens.
