Nando’s has announced it’s an official sponsor of A.F.C. Richmond. Following months of speculation from fans, Nando’s is excited to confirm the sponsorship for the third season of ‘Ted Lasso’ premiering globally Wednesday, 15th March on Apple TV+.
He might be from BBQ-hotspot Kansas, USA, but Ted’s no stranger to Nando’s PERi-PERi. In a training session last year, a fan overheard Ted and Coach Beard have a little exchange: “Coach Beard: Somebody order training extra spicy today? Ted: Yeah, it’s got that Nando’s PERi-PERi sauce on it, huh?”
Extra Hot fans may have also spotted Nando’s iconic logo make it’s A.F.C. Richmond kit debut in the EA Sports FIFA 23 game last September. The sponsorship comes ahead of a Hot season for the team and will see Nando’s bringing the heat on the kit, stadium hoardings and throughout the season. Ted Lasso also confirmed the partnership in an interview, saying that he’s “PERi PERi excited about this one.”
To celebrate, Nando’s has unique experiences for fans who visit its Richmond restaurant in London for the duration of the season. From March 15th, expect BELIEVE-themed spice flags – Ted’s favourite saying – A.F.C. Richmond napkins and even the iconic restaurant signage has had a makeover to support the local team.
