I shared previously the trailer for Mid90s, which is Jonah Hill’s directorial debut. Written and directed by Jonah Hill, Mid90s follows Stevie, 13-year-old in ’90s LA, who spends his summer navigating between his troubled home life and a group of new friends that he meets at a Motor Avenue skate shop.
Ahead of the film’s UK release, The Mid90s original motion picture playlist is available to stream exclusively on Spotify now. The playlist features music by Mobb Deep, Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, Cypress Hill, Wu-Tang Clan, Nirvana, Morrissey and more.

Described by Uproxx as the perfect playlist to “throw on and chill”, the Mid90s playlist features 37 hip hop and rock songs from some of the era’s most prolific recording artists including the Pixies’ “Wave of Mutilation”, Nirvana’s “Where Did You Sleep Last Night”, and GZA’s “Liquid Swords”. In addition, the playlist also sees an original score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (best known for their scores on films including Gone Girl, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and The Social Network).
I am also lucky enough to have some brand new clips to share. Check them out below!
Mid90s stars Sunny Suljic (The Killing of a Sacred Deer), Katherine Waterston (Inherent Vice, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) and Lucas Hedges (Manchester By The Sea, Boy Erased). Rounding out the cast are newcomers Na-kel Smith, Olan Prenatt, Gio Galicia, Ryder McLaughlin and Alexa Demie.
