Lu Celebrates Launch of Latest Biscuit with Chocolate Themed Surprise

Iconic French biscuit brand Lu surprised Londoners last week with a delectable pop-up at the NoHo Showrooms, where TV Presenter and LU brand ambassador Fred Sirieix was on site to spoil guests with their newest launch – Le Petit Ganache.

The chocolate-filled surprise – much like the Petit Ganache – treated biscuit-lovers to endless buttery golden biscuits with silky, hidden choco-hazelnut fillings, complete with an enormous chocolate fountain for those after an extra chocolatey bite.

Alongside the pop-up, Lu has also been serving up some useful ‘surprise’ snippets to help you with your quests to put smiles on loved ones’ faces.

Little Everyday Surprises are Actually the Big Winners

If you’re planning an expensive dinner, generous gift or swanky hotel stay for your loved ones, you may want to think again. Lu’s research has revealed it is in fact little everyday surprises that have the biggest impact and bring the smile to people’s faces.

Nearly half (46%) of UK adults state little everyday surprises mean more than grand gestures, and that the best memories come from small, surprising moments rather than big elaborate ones (31%).

The new research has revealed that UK adults are a generous bunch as a third (34%) of people prefer to give a little surprise than receive one, as they love to see the joy on their loved one’s face (48%).

For a quarter (25%) of UK adults, the best surprises come in the form of receiving an unexpected parcel, being given a bunch of flowers (21%) and waking up to the sun shining (17%). For the foodies among us, one in 10 loves finding their favourite treat being left unexpectedly on their desk (10%).

Nearly a third (28%) love to surprise friends and loved ones with new experiences or activities (22%) that they can enjoy together. But, for almost a fifth (18%) of UK residents, delivering a friend a surprise biscuit with a hot drink ranked the highest.
