What Is PDRN+?
PDRN has become an increasingly talked-about ingredient in the beauty world, particularly as skincare trends continue to take inspiration from aesthetic treatments.
According to L’Oréal Paris, its new PDRN+ technology is designed to help improve the appearance of overall skin quality, radiance and glow.
The ingredient has been incorporated alongside the brand’s multi-sized Hyaluronic Acid technology, creating a formula intended to provide both hydration and a more visibly rejuvenated complexion.
Three Types of Hyaluronic Acid
At the heart of the Revitalift Filler serum is a combination of three different types of Hyaluronic Acid.
The formula uses Macro, Micro and Micro-Epidermic Hyaluronic Acid, with each designed to work at different levels of the skin’s surface.
L’Oréal Paris says Macro Hyaluronic Acid helps hydrate the skin’s surface, while Micro Hyaluronic Acid works deeper within the epidermis to help replump the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
The brand’s Micro-Epidermic Hyaluronic Acid is also designed to penetrate deeper through the skin’s surface, helping provide a more intense plumping effect.
Visible Results From One Week
The new serum has been developed to deliver results that can be seen and felt over time.
According to L’Oréal Paris, skin immediately feels more hydrated and plump while appearing dewy. After one week, the brand says skin feels more elastic and tightened, with signs of fatigue appearing reduced.
After one month, skin is said to feel regenerated and renewed.
In a six-week clinical study involving 53 women using the serum twice daily, L’Oréal Paris reports a 47% reduction in the appearance of wrinkles and a 60% reduction in the appearance of fine lines, based on expert visual grading.
The company also describes the product as its most tested serum, with more than 1,800 women involved in testing and efficacy assessment.
As with all cosmetic testing claims, individual results can vary.
A New Addition To Your Glass Skin Routine
The serum has also been designed to slot into L’Oréal Paris’ wider Glass Skin routine, creating a three-step ritual focused on achieving a plumper, smoother and more luminous-looking complexion.
Step 1: Revitalift Hyaluronic PDRN+ Anti-Wrinkle Serum
Apply 2–3 drops to clean, dry skin across the face and neck, both morning and evening.
Step 2: Revitalift Glass Skin Liquid Cream
Follow with 1–2 pumps of the Revitalift Glass Skin Liquid Cream, applying it across the face and neck.
Step 3: Revitalift Glass Skin Hydrogel Glow Mask
Once a week, apply the two sections of the hydrogel mask to the face, aligning them around the eyes. Leave on for 90 minutes before removing.
The result is intended to be a simple routine that layers hydration, plumping skincare and glow-enhancing treatments together.
L’Oréal Paris’ Next Generation Of Hyaluronic Acid Skincare
Since the original Revitalift Hyaluronic Acid serum launched in 2018, L’Oréal Paris has continued to develop its multi-sized Hyaluronic Acid technology.
The latest formula represents the brand’s move towards combining traditional hydration and plumping benefits with newer biotech-inspired skincare technology.
L’Oréal Paris says the addition of PDRN+ is designed to take its iconic serum beyond traditional plumping, focusing instead on radiance, density and the overall appearance of skin quality.
For those looking to build a more intensive anti-wrinkle or glass skin routine, the upgraded Revitalift Filler serum could be one to watch.
