William Hill has revealed that the current frontrunning couple for this year’s Love Island are Liam Llewelleyn and Gemma Owen, who are tipped at a collective 12-1 for the win. The Welsh MA student and footballer’s daughter have proven the fan favourites so far – even though the first episode hasn’t hit screens just yet, and is airing tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
Gemma Owen is also an international dressage rider from Chester, and would describe herself as ‘very honest and a bit stubborn, straight up and a bit fiery’, while Newport’s Liam said he’s ‘good company to be around and I’m smiley.” The latest promo around the Islanders include asking what their favourite body parts are in a prospective partner – with Gemma admitting that her best feature is ‘probably’ her bum, while her ideal date activity would be a ‘nice meal’, while Liam says he has very sensitive ears.
Could sparks fly between the duo on tonight’s episode? Fans certainly think so, having already backed the pairing to win this year’s highly-anticipated series. Although fans are yet to see the stars interact with one another – and, for the first time ever, fans actually have a say in who ends up paired up in the first episode – they’re convinced that Liam and Gemma will hit it off, as well as Luca and Tasha, tipped at 14-1.
