The LEGO Group has teamed up with Grammy Award-winning superstar Olivia Rodrigo for an unforgettable fan experience, launching a global vinyl hunt and unveiling the new LEGO Editions Olivia Rodrigo collection ahead of its worldwide release.

Fans in Los Angeles were treated to a surprise appearance from Olivia Rodrigo at the legendary Licorice Pizza Records, where the iconic record store was transformed into an incredible LEGO-built experience to celebrate the launch of the upcoming LEGO® Editions collection.

The one-day event also marked the start of a worldwide treasure hunt, with 333 limited-edition brick-built LEGO vinyl records being hidden in record stores across the globe for lucky fans—known as Livies—to discover.

Olivia Rodrigo surprises fans in Los Angeles

Around 100 fans were invited to the exclusive event, where Olivia Rodrigo answered questions, shared stories behind the collaboration and discussed the inspiration behind the LEGO Editions collection.

One of the standout attractions was a life-sized LEGO recreation of Olivia’s famous GUTS World Tour Concert Moon, measuring 2.42 metres high and 2.50 metres wide. Built using 77,618 LEGO bricks, the impressive display recreated one of the singer’s most memorable live performance moments.

Across the venue, the LEGO Group used more than 110,000 LEGO bricks, with designers, engineers and model builders spending over 500 hours creating the immersive installation.

LEGO Editions x Olivia Rodrigo Vinyl Hunt begins

Following the surprise event, the LEGO Group officially launched its global Vinyl Hunt, encouraging fans to search for one of just 333 collectible LEGO brick-built vinyl records hidden inside participating record stores worldwide.

Over the coming weeks, new clues will be shared through the official LEGO and Olivia Rodrigo social media channels, revealing where the exclusive collectibles have been hidden.

Fans who manage to find one are encouraged to share their discovery online using the hashtag #FindAStoryInEveryPiece.

Launching globally on 1 August 2026, the LEGO Editions Olivia Rodrigo collection celebrates some of the artist’s most iconic songs, performances and personal symbols.

Developed in collaboration with Olivia herself, each set contains hidden references and storytelling elements inspired by different moments from her career, including SOUR, GUTS and you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love.

The collection includes:

  • LEGO Editions Olivia Rodrigo’s Vinyl – 360 pieces
  • LEGO Editions Olivia Rodrigo’s Concert Moon – 670 pieces
  • LEGO Editions Olivia Rodrigo’s Secret Storage – 1,085 pieces
  • LEGO Editions Olivia Rodrigo’s Dual Guitar – 1,228 pieces
  • LEGO Botanicals & LEGO Editions Olivia Rodrigo’s Flower Bouquet – 400 pieces

Notably, Olivia Rodrigo becomes the first musician to receive multiple dedicated LEGO sets, making the collaboration one of the brand’s most ambitious music partnerships to date.

LEGO Celebrates Creativity Through Music

Julia Goldin, Chief Product & Marketing Officer at the LEGO Group, said the partnership was designed to encourage fans to discover the stories hidden within every build.

She explained that the Vinyl Hunt extends that idea into the real world, bringing fans together through music, creativity and community while celebrating record stores around the world.
