This week Andre Dixon and Ariana Bravo speak to reigning W Series champion Jamie Chadwick about her career, W Series, her F1 ambitions and Jaime reveals that she’s a keen ‘Foodie”.
This interview is brought to you by Arlo, Europe’s number one security camera brand and W Series racing champion Jamie Chadwick have today revealed a gripping video showing the professional racing driver putting the brand new Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight camera through its paces. The collaboration saw Chadwick – one of Britain’s leading young drivers – pit herself against the versatility, brightness, and motion detection speeds of the floodlight camera in a world-first experiment.
Taking place at night on the iconic Goodwood Racecourse in Chichester the challenge was to complete the 3.8km drive in total darkness with nothing but strategically placed Pro 3 Floodlight cameras to trigger and illuminate the way.
In honour of Arlo’s latest security device – the world’s first 100% battery powered floodlight camera – Chadwick got behind the wheel of an electric sportscar to complete the trial. The short film shows every light around the course being extinguished and, as the headlights are disabled, Jamie beginning her race, reaching speeds over 100mph in an exhilarating test of nerve and skill.
Thanks to the Pro 3 Floodlight Cameras innovative detection capabilities, each motion sensor was triggered as the AI technology identified the approaching car and the powerful LEDs automatically activated to illuminate the track and deliver a powerful shield of light that sees Jamie safely round the course.
More powerful than most car headlights, the Pro 3 Floodlight features crystal clear 2K colour night vision and a 160-degree field of view to help capture important details and give users the confidence that their home is protected with a powerful shield of light. Additional features include a built-in siren that can be triggered automatically, or manually from the Arlo app, when motion is detected, as well as two-way audio to ward off unwelcome intruders. Controlled entirely through the Arlo app, each product gives its users the ability to protect what matters most, any time and anywhere. For more complete protection homeowners can also pair their camera with an Arlo Smart subscription which, for just 30p a day gives access to premium AI-powered features including advanced detection of people, vehicles, animals and packages.
The video of Jamie’s impressive Pro 3 Floodlight challenge is live now and can be viewed on Arlo’s UK YouTube channel .
Jamie Chadwick said, “This challenge with Arlo was unlike anything I’ve done before! As a driver you rely heavily on good visibility, so being on a track with no light makes you feel really vulnerable and setting off into total darkness was really nerve wracking! But the brightness of the floodlight is really impressive and I was surprised at how quickly it was able to react to motion.”
