One of the UK’s most talented and compelling artists, Jacob Banks, has revealed the disturbingly brilliant new video “Unknown”, the final visual to be released from his EP ‘The Paradox’.

Jacob Banks seems to impress again and again with his incredible strong, emotive videos and this one does just that. The visual is an honest and moving recreation of domestic abuse in relationships, this tale tells the story of one person surrendering their power in faith and trust, believing their partner will never disrespect them. It’s immediately apparent in this visual that Jacob has a keen eye for composition and a passion for all things film and art.

Speaking on the visual: “This was a hard video to shoot in terms of subject matter, capturing something so real for so many people. The video is less about domestic abuse and more about power shift and seeing how power affects the dynamic of a relationship.”

At only 24 years old Jacob has already achieved so much and built an incredible following. Since deciding music was something he really wanted to pursue he has gone from strength to strength. His big break came when he won the MOBO Unsung competition and studio session with acclaimed British artist Plan B, who went on to mentor his early career.

One thing remains the same; Jacob Banks isn’t like anyone else out there, giving a whole new take on modern R&B, soul and pop, Jacob is quickly proving to be one of his generations most interesting composers and lyricists.

We’re big fans over here!
