Help MTV Staying Alive fight HIV at AIDS Walk New York

Aids Walk NY

The MTV Staying Alive Foundation is looking for people to take part in the 30th annual AIDS Walk New York, on May 17,to raise money for their global HIV-prevention work.

Since 1998, the MTV Staying Alive Foundation has been on a mission to raise awareness and prevent HIV among young people around the world.

But why HIV? Well, since 2001 there has been a 50% increase in HIVrelated deaths in young people between the ages of 10 and 19 years of age and a staggering 42% of new HIV infections globally were among 15 to 24 year olds.

The MTV Staying Alive Foundation has pioneered youth-led and youth-focused approaches to HIV prevention.

They have produced hard-hitting media campaigns that have reached over 500 million people worldwide, while funding and training young leaders to go out into their communities and teach their peers about HIV and sexual health.

So how can you help?

We’re looking for budding walkers to help us take part in and help us fundraise in the 30th annual AIDS Walk New York, on May 17, 2015.

Register here to take part. Help MTV Staying Alive stop HIV before it even starts.
