HBO Max, Warner Bros. Discovery’s flagship global streaming platform, is officially launching in the UK and Ireland on Thursday 26 March 2026, bringing together award-winning TV, blockbuster movies and live sport in one destination.
Already available in more than 110 territories worldwide, HBO Max promises UK and Irish audiences unprecedented access to content from HBO, Warner Bros. Pictures, Warner Bros. Television, DC Studios and Max Originals, alongside premium live sport via TNT Sports.
The launch marks a major shake-up of the UK streaming landscape, positioning HBO Max as a serious rival to Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video.
Unmissable TV Shows Arriving on HBO Max
From launch day, HBO Max will stream the complete first season of 2025 Emmy, Golden Globe and Critics Choice Award winner The Pitt for the first time in the UK and Ireland, with episodes from its second season released weekly.

Where You Can Watch HBO Max
HBO Max will be available directly via hbomax.com, as well as through launch partners including Sky and Prime Video, giving viewers multiple ways to access the platform.
The service will be supported across all major devices, including smart TVs, streaming devices, smartphones, tablets, consoles and platforms such as Android, iOS, PlayStation, Xbox, Fire TV, Roku, Samsung, LG and Virgin TV.
Subscribers can create up to five personalised profiles, download content (depending on plan), and access parental controls for kid-friendly viewing.

The UK and Ireland launch completes HBO Max’s European rollout. Since first launching in the US in 2020, the platform has expanded across Latin America, Europe and Asia. Warner Bros. Discovery reported 128 million global streaming subscribers in Q3 2025, underlining the platform’s rapid growth.
