FUJIFILM Europe has announced the launch of its latest innovation in instant photography — the instax mini LiPlay+ hybrid instant camera, an evolution of the popular instax mini LiPlay line first introduced in 2019.
Blending the charm of instant prints with modern digital creativity, the new mini LiPlay+ brings a range of upgraded features including dual cameras, sound recording capabilities, and a revamped smartphone app — giving creators, travellers, and photography lovers a new way to capture and share memories.

Dual Cameras, Double the Creativity
For the first time, the instax mini LiPlay+ introduces dual camera lenses — a front-facing main camera and a rear wide-angle selfie camera. The new Layered Photo Mode allows users to blend two images (from each lens) into one — with a foreground and background effect for a distinctive artistic touch.
With automatic exposure, flash control, and two timer options (2s and 10s), users can easily capture perfect shots. Plus, with instax-Rich and instax-Natural modes and a suite of filters, creators have full control over their aesthetic.
Sound Meets Photography
FUJIFILM continues to redefine instant photography with the instax Sound Print and instax Sound Album features. Users can now record short 3-second audio clips to accompany their photos — stored via a QR code printed directly onto the image.
Scanning the code lets you relive not just the moment’s look, but also its sound — from laughter to the waves of your last beach trip. The Sound Album feature even lets users create animated video slideshows with music and vibrant backgrounds, all through the instax mini LiPlay+ App.
App-Powered Customisation
The free instax mini LiPlay+ App (available for iOS and Android) lets you remotely shoot via Bluetooth, add frames, stickers, and text overlays, and even print smartphone photos instantly. Whether you’re crafting an aesthetic memory wall or creating personalised prints for friends, the app makes creativity effortless.
A Sparkling New Film: instax mini Soft Glitter
Launching alongside the camera, FUJIFILM is also introducing the instax mini Soft Glitter instant film — featuring subtle gold accents and soft, shimmering tones. It’s ideal for parties, creative projects, or anyone who loves a little sparkle.
Pricing and Availability
The instax mini LiPlay+ will be available from 30 October 2025 in Sand Beige and Midnight Blue, retailing at £189.99 (including VAT). A matching protective case will be sold for £29.99, and the new instax mini Soft Glitter film will be priced at £8.99 per 10-shot pack.
