FTampa strikes a hit with new single

You may not have heard of FTampa yet, but Tiësto thinks you need to.

Felipe Tampa was thrust into the EDM spotlight with the Dutch DJ king Tiësto played his new track “Strike it Up” at Creamfields festival this year.

The Brazilian DJ has been producing since early 2010, and hasn’t slowed down since. With his remixes gaining support from EDM superstars such as Hardwell, Calvin Harris and Martin Garrix, this producer is well on his way to going global.

His latest release is the music video for his track “Strike It Up,” and it’s just what we need to pick us up out of the cold-weather-blues that have already begun to set in. The melodic, progressive track is a detour from the big-room drops we’ve come to expect from FTampa, but this track’s contagious energy is just too good to pass up.

You can find FTampa spinning “Strike It Up” and more of his sick tracks at various festivals around Brazil until the end of November.

If you can’t catch him in action, check out his Soundcloud page. It’s home to over 57,000 followers and over a dozen remixes and original tracks. Our favorite is the remix of NERVO’s “Hey Ricky” featuring Kreayshawn, Dev and Alisa.

“Strike it Up” is available now on BeatPort, and be sure to be on the lookout for more FTampa tracks on the way. We have a feeling we’ll be seeing him on the main stage very soon.
