Fred again.. has shared ‘OK OK (Hamdi Remix)’, a high-energy rework of his collaborative track featuring Danny Brown, BEAM, PARISI and JPEGMAFIA, marking the first taste of his newly announced remix project, USB002 REMIXES.
The track is available to stream now, bringing Hamdi’s bass-heavy club sensibility to one of the standout moments from Fred’s ever-expanding USB universe. You can listen to ‘OK OK (Hamdi Remix)’ via streaming platforms now here.
A first look at USB002 REMIXES
Set for release on 6 March, USB002 REMIXES will feature seven reworked tracks drawn from Fred again..’s ongoing USB series, a project that continues to blur the line between recorded music, live performance and community-driven experimentation. Fans can pre-save the album here ahead of its release here.
Hamdi’s involvement feels full-circle. The producer previously joined Fred on the USB tour in San Francisco last year, before returning once again for this year’s New York residency, cementing his place within the evolving USB ecosystem.
New York residency highlights
Last weekend saw Fred again.. complete the second weekend of his USB002 residency at New York’s East End Studios, with Friday night welcoming X3butterfly b3b Doctor Jeep b3b Sister Zo, followed by a Saturday line-up featuring Caribou and BRUX.
The residency continues this weekend — the final dates of the New York run — with KETTAMA and BRUX joining tonight, before Caribou returns alongside Ben UFO tomorrow evening.
Beyond the music, Fred has transformed East End Studios into a multi-sensory space. Last Thursday, he hosted ‘Boris Acket – Secret Life Exhibition’, a unique installation centred around Boris Acket’s immersive visual work. The exhibition forms a key part of the USB002 live shows, soundtracked by a reworked version of Secret Life, Fred’s ambient collaboration with Brian Eno.
The evolving USB era
Fred again.. launched the latest chapter of his USB journey in September, announcing an ambitious plan to release ten tracks and perform ten shows across ten cities in ten weeks. Since then, the project has grown to include tracks such as ‘you’re a star’ with Amyl and the Sniffers, ‘Talk of the Town’ with Sammy Virji & Reggie, and ‘Beto’s Horns’ alongside CA7RIEL, Paco Amoroso and Ezra Collective.
The USB002 vinyl arrived in December and is available to purchase now here.
Originally launched in 2022, Fred’s USB project has become one of the most distinctive bodies of work in modern electronic music, featuring tracks like ‘Baby Again..’, ‘Rumble’ with Skrillex & Flowdan, ‘Jungle’, ‘leavemealone’ with Baby Keem, and ‘stayinit’ with Lil Yachty, alongside remixes from Nia Archives, HAAi and Rico Nasty. The first vinyl collection, USB001, landed in 2024.
