Fortnite players get the green light for Squid Game as the iconic TV series arrives, timed with the much-anticipated finale of the show.
FORTNITE RELOAD: REBOOT INTO SQUID GROUNDS
Fight for survival in Reload’s Squid Game map, Squid Grounds, now live in Fortnite! The rules are simple: get off your bunk, gear up, and fight to survive. Players can find familiar playground locations from the games, complete with staged town sets and a hollowed-out labyrinth cutting underneath the island’s rolling hills.
Squid Grounds is the latest map to join Reload’s growing map pool — players can even play Red Light Green Light, at their own risk
UEFN AND CREATIVE: MAKE SQUID GAME ISLANDS
New Squid Game-themed devices, templates, props, Galleries, and NPCs await for creators in UEFN and Fortnite Creative — perfect for high-stakes challenges and new storytelling opportunities.
New Creator Tools, NPCs, and More
- Games Player and Guard NPCs – Populate islands with games players wearing the iconic green jumpsuits, the black-suited guard, or pink-suited guards (choose circle, triangle, or square mask decal options!)
- Disguises – Creators can set up the Disguise device and Disguise kit in various ways to enable players to temporarily transform into Squid Game guard or player participant (ideal for sowing deceit and confusion!)
- Skilled Interaction Device – Now supports multiplayer skill checks with synced, turn-based, or random interactions
- Voting Option and Voting Group devices – Create tough choices and tense moments with vote-based decision-making mechanics
The Squid Game assets and content are now available for creators in UEFN and Fortnite Creative, and islands can be published and playable in Fortnite starting August 14!

An all-new Squid Bundle dropped into the Shop! Don a new look with the Games Guard Outfit or the Ddakji Defender Outfit, grab the Delicious Dalgona Back Bling (choose your shape carefully!), and snag the Lil’ Prized Piggy Bank Emote.
