Newly launched youth wellbeing brand Chirpy has appointed broadcaster and mental health advocate Fearne Cotton as its new ‘Head of Happy’. Cotton joins the pharmacist-formulated supplement company as both ambassador and shareholder, aligning her long-standing work in mental health with its own mission to support young minds.
Chirpy is positioned as a broader wellbeing brand rather than solely a supplement company, offering lifestyle guidance, expert-backed advice, and practical tools for families navigating children’s mental health, both for children and teenagers, and for the parents supporting them. Developed by pharmacists and supported by a wider ‘Chirpy Collective’ of specialists, the brand combines nutritional science with accessible, everyday support designed to fit into family life.
Cotton’s involvement with Chirpy stemmed from her existing connection to the Happy Place community, where conversations around natural approaches to mental health first introduced the brand’s co-founder to the concept. After initial discussions around shared values and wellbeing philosophy, the partnership evolved into a formal role, taking on the position of ‘Head of Happy’ to help bring her platform and voice to the brand’s mission.
The launch product range consists of two pharmacist-formulated gummies designed for children and teenagers aged 6 to 18. The Mood One (£29.99, 60 orange gummies) combines saffron, zinc, vitamin D and acerola cherry extract to support mood balance, emotional regulation, and everyday focus. The Zen One (£27.99, 60 blackcurrant gummies) blends English lavender extract, chamomile flower extract, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12, targeting calmer routines and ease of feelings of anxiety.
Beyond its core products, Chirpy also offers structured lifestyle guidance designed to support families beyond supplementation. This includes expert-led advice, educational resources and input from psychologists, neuroscientists, paediatric specialists and wellbeing practitioners. The intention is to create a framework that supports both children and parents through everyday emotional challenges in a consistent, effective, and reliable way.
Chirpy was founded by sisters Emma Grace and pharmacist Sarah Pontefract after a personal experience highlighted a gap in accessible, evidence-based support for young people’s mental wellbeing. Their research-led approach led to the development of natural formulations backed by clinical evidence into ingredients associated with mood and cognitive support. The brand also commits 1% of sales to youth mental health charities as part of its wider mission.
