DOMINO’S LAUNCHES THE HEAT BOOT USING PIZZA DELIVERY TECH TO BATTLE BRITAIN’S BIG FREEZE

As temperatures across the UK continue to plummet, Domino’s has stepped in with what might just be the most unexpected winter accessory of 2026: the Domino’s Heat Boot. Designed using the same insulation technology found in the brand’s iconic pizza Hot Bags, the oversized boots are built to keep Brits warm when winter really bites.

The Heat Boots were first spotted during last week’s cold snap, turning heads and sparking envy among shivering onlookers. While passers-by battled icy pavements and numb toes, the wearer of the bold footwear appeared completely unfazed — warm, calm and collected in sub-zero conditions.

A Winter Statement That Means Business

Blending functionality with statement style, the Domino’s Heat Boot taps into the growing trend of fashion-meets-performance winterwear, proving that practicality doesn’t have to come at the cost of looking fresh. For style-conscious Brits who already swear by puffers, layers and thermal fits, this is winter dressing taken to the extreme.

What Makes the Domino’s Heat Boot So Hot?

Packed with delivery-grade innovation, the Heat Boot is designed to withstand even the coldest conditions. Key features include:

  • Ultimate Heat Retention Technology
Multi-layer thermal insulation with reflective lining traps warmth, keeping toes “oven fresh” even in freezing temperatures.

  • Detachable Garlic & Herb Dip Compartment
A removable pocket engineered to maintain the perfect temperature for Domino’s Garlic & Herb Dip — because no winter adventure should ever be dipless.

  • Anti-Chill Cushioning Matrix
A shock-absorbing midsole infused with micro-air cells that cushions impact while reducing heat loss through the sole.

  • Hydro Shield Snow-Repellent Shell
An advanced hydrophobic outer coating repels snow, slush and spills with the same resilience used in Domino’s delivery gear.

  • Pizza Grip Tread Pattern
Outsoles moulded with an iconic Pepperoni Passion-inspired tread, maximising traction on icy pavements for safer winter steps.

From Hot Pizza to Hot Feet

Domino’s HeatWave technology was first introduced in 1998 to ensure pizzas arrived piping hot at customers’ doors. The thermal innovation has since evolved, famously being tested in a full Heat Suit back in 2024. Now, that same technology is being trialled in footwear — proving these boots are a “knead,” not a want.

According to Izzy Gardener, Head of Heat Innovation at Domino’s, the leap from pizza delivery to winter footwear was a natural next step.

“As experts in delivery, one of the things we pride ourselves on is delivering piping hot pizzas — and that wouldn’t be possible without our Hot Bag technology,” Gardener explained. “After trialling innovation with the Heat Suit, it was time to put HeatWave™ to the test again.”

She added that Domino’s team members have already made over 5.6 million pizzas this month alone, as customers lean into comfort food during colder weather — and now, thanks to the Heat Boot, warmth doesn’t have to stop at dinner time.

Built for Icy Streets and Winter Style

Safety was also a priority in the Heat Boot’s design. “It was really important for us to make sure the Heat Boot is ready for all winter terrains,” Gardener continued. “That’s why we moulded the outsoles with a grippy pizza-slice tread to maximise traction on icy paths.”

The result? A boot that doesn’t just keep you warm, but keeps you upright — all while delivering unmistakable Domino’s flair.

The Coolest Thing to Wear This Winter

Whether you see it as fashion, function or pure novelty, the Domino’s Heat Boot is shaping up to be one of the boldest winter drops of the year. It’s oversized, unapologetic and engineered with the same care as the pizzas that made the brand a household name.

In a season defined by cold snaps and comfort cravings, the Heat Boot might just be both the hottest and coolest accessory of winter 2026.
