Following on from 2014’s introductory track ‘Oracle’, enigmatic UK collective CROOX have teamed up with Chester Watson on this collaborative effort to re-work their single, ‘Settle’/
It’s an interesting collaboration between 17 year old Floridian rapper and all-round beat-maker Chester, and the UK collective who have been compared to the likes of FKA Twigs, James Blake and The Weeknd – but it most definitely works! Both acts have a sense of mystery and a particular level of dark undertones, and that is exactly what brings this track to life.
Have a listen to the track below (and if you’re anything like us, then you’ll definitely end up having it on a repeat for a bit!)…
CROOX are on the verge of releasing their debut EP ‘EU’ in March, which will consist of 4 new tracks. The collective will also be unleashing 4 accompanying videos to each track, which were filmed on location in four separate European cities. They have pendulously been biding their time, honing their craft and readying themselves for their debut release which is laced with soulful, modernized R&B flavours, mixed alongside minimalist and effortless production.
You can catch CROOX at their debut UK show at London’s Sebright Arms on March 23rd. We’ll definitely be down there!
