CREATURE CULT SHARE POWERFUL ALT-ELECTRO-POP NEW SINGLE ‘I DID THIS TO MYSELF’

The project of Connar Ridd, Creature Cult shares new single ‘i did this to myself’, a song about how mental health can affect relationships.

On the track, Connar says,

“I set myself to self-destruct and pushed everyone away when I needed them most. I was going through some heavy stuff in my life and I felt completely at my limit and couldn’t handle everyday social situations. I didn’t see any of my friends or family and made everything as difficult for myself as possible. I guess you only know what you had once it’s gone. This song is about coming out the other side and realising what I’d lost.”

The Essex based musician lays down a firm marker for the kind of change he wants to see in the world, and delivers a message loud and clear – in the face of bigotry and hatred, be uncompromising in your self-expression.

With songs about homophobia, sexism, football hooliganism, and mental health problems, he is  unafraid to speak up and fight against out-dated social conventions and injustices whilst blending the likes of punk, rock, pop and electronic into an anarchic mix, similar to the likes of Lil Peep, and Ghostmane. Embracing alt-culture, they’re also inspired by bands like Nirvana and Green Day.

Creature Cult have released previous singles ‘ughly’ and ‘poster boy’, and have recently opened for The Libertines.
