CONVERSE AND KENZO HONOR THE CHUCK WITH FIRST COLLABORATION

Known for its distinct point of view, KENZO famously blends cultural aesthetics while infusing a contagious sense of optimism and energy. Through its playful, free-spirited approach, the fashion house leverages bold colors and prints featuring a unique style and dynamic silhouette.

As brands at the epicenter of culture and fashion, Converse and KENZO have been pushing the boundaries of style for decades. Grounded by KENZO’s artistic director Nigo’s love for the Chuck, the two come together to deliver a fresh take on Converse’s beloved silhouette. Underscored by a dose of nostalgia, the partnership serves as a true celebration of both brands.

Nigo’s appreciation for all-American style also comes to life visually through campaign lifestyle and motion imagery. Centered around the collegiate lifestyle, the assets depict the idyllic freedom of campus life and the youthful spirit of exploration.

Anchored by the Chuck 70, the collection features one high- and two low-top cuts adorned with KENZO’s all-over Hana Leopard motif. Inspired by the 80s archive of both brands, the print calls back to the label’s era-defining graphics while also nodding to Converse’s first exploration of fashion-based patterns.

Taking the 80s inspiration further, timely style details of the Chuck Taylor were also transformed for a modern representation. The design includes a geometric winged stitch on the medial and lateral sides of the upper, as well as a screen-printed Chuck Taylor patch that features intentional imperfections to resemble the original. The high-top also includes a “pinched” collar for added dimensionality.

Additional flourishes include an outsole inlay of KENZO’s iconic boke flower as well as a charm of the house’s brand-new graphic.

The Converse x Kenzo collection features the Chuck 70 Hi in a Sweet Corn colorway, as well as the Chuck 70 Low in Pink Cosmos and Cypress. The footwear commercializes on April 17, 2025, at Kenzo.com and Kenzo stores, as well as Converse.com and select global retailers.
