Cath Kidston Creates Field of Flowers for Mother’s Day

What a beautiful idea! On a sunny Southbank in London, the iconic Great British brand Cath Kidston, recreated their signature polka-dot print out of 4,000 pink and white gerboras, which the public were invited to come and pick to bring home to mothers ahead of this weekend.
Aesthetically the flowers looked absolutely stunning, lining the side of the Thames with the classically recognizable Cath Kidston print creating a real ‘field of flowers’ in the centre of London.
The installation used over 60,000 petals and took a total 650 man hours to design and complete, but after finding the shocking statistic that 64% of us forget about Mother’s day, the flowers served as a beautiful reminder to be sure to thank our mothers and grandmothers this Sunday.
The installation, that was planned to remain on the Southbank for 24hrs, proved even more successful than predicted as all the flowers were gone within an hour!
