As Britain’s obsession with matcha continues to grow, Caffè Nero is embracing the trend with the launch of its brand-new Iced Blueberry Muffin Matcha Latte, a refreshing seasonal drink inspired by one of the nation’s favourite bakery treats.
The innovative iced beverage combines ceremonial-grade matcha, creamy oat milk and sweet blueberry flavours to recreate the comforting taste of a freshly baked blueberry muffin in drink form. The launch forms part of the coffee chain’s wider “Serving Summer” campaign and arrives alongside a Wimbledon-themed matcha experience in London.
A New Twist on the Summer Matcha Trend
Matcha has become one of the UK’s most sought-after drinks, appearing on café menus nationwide and dominating social media feeds throughout the warmer months.
Building on the success of its existing matcha range, Caffè Nero’s latest creation offers a unique take on the trend. The new Iced Blueberry Muffin Matcha Latte blends earthy premium matcha with fruity blueberry notes and a creamy texture, delivering a flavour profile that balances sweetness with refreshment.
The drink will officially launch in all Caffè Nero coffee shops and Express stores across the UK from 15 July, with prices starting from £4.85.
It joins the brand’s growing selection of matcha drinks, including Vanilla Matcha, Strawberry Matcha and Tropical Matcha.
Wimbledon Station Becomes a Matcha Destination
To celebrate the launch, Caffè Nero has transformed its Wimbledon Station location into a tennis-inspired matcha pop-up running from 29 June to 12 July.
Designed to coincide with the excitement surrounding Wimbledon, the immersive takeover features interactive installations, photo opportunities, exclusive merchandise displays and a giant tennis racket centrepiece.
Visitors to the store will be among the first in the UK to sample the upcoming Iced Blueberry Muffin Matcha Latte before its nationwide release.
Exclusive Wimbledon Matcha Specials
Alongside the Blueberry Muffin Matcha debut, visitors to the Wimbledon Station store can also enjoy two limited-edition seasonal specials available exclusively at the location.
Iced Strawberry & Cream Matcha Latte
Inspired by the classic British summer combination of strawberries and cream, this exclusive drink brings together fresh seasonal flavours with premium matcha.
Fresh Strawberries with Matcha Cream
No Wimbledon season would be complete without strawberries, and Caffè Nero is putting its own spin on the tradition with Fresh Strawberries served alongside a rich matcha cream topping.
The dessert-style offering has been created specifically for the Wimbledon activation and will only be available for a limited period.
Chance to Win Free Matcha for a Year
Customers purchasing any matcha drink at the Wimbledon Station store will receive a token to play an on-site claw machine packed with prizes.
Lucky visitors could win exclusive Caffè Nero merchandise and even free matcha for a year.
The competition is also being extended nationwide. Customers who purchase a matcha drink through the Caffè Nero app between 29 June and 12 July will be automatically entered into daily prize draws for the chance to win free matcha for a year.

The launch follows strong demand for matcha-based drinks across the UK coffee market.
According to Caffè Nero, continued innovation within its matcha range helped contribute to a 52% increase in iced drink sales last year, with Strawberry Matcha emerging as one of the company’s most popular flavours.
Lysa Hardy, CEO of Caffè Nero UK, said the company has seen customers actively seek out its matcha offerings and believes the category will remain one of the defining drink trends of summer 2026.

The new Iced Blueberry Muffin Matcha Latte will be available nationwide from 15 July 2026 in all Caffè Nero stores and Express locations.
