BuzzBallz, the viral, cult ready-to-drink brand known for its brightly coloured, bold and instantly recognisable ball-shaped drinks, went Ballz Out In Good Times last weekend, celebrating the in-between moments that become the main event during a night out, as its two giant BuzzBallz on wheels rolled into London.
Driven by dedicated BuzzBallz chauffeurs, the brand hit Clapham Common with their brand new BallzMobilez – part giant BuzzBallz, part party on wheels, handing out free BuzzBallz to celebrate spontaneous fun in the places people least expect*.
Those that missed out need not worry, as the BallzMobilez will be making a triumphant return this weekend at Clapham Junction, taking things up a notch with double the amount of FREE BuzzBallz for people to enjoy.
New research from the brand revealed more than three quarters (76%) of Brits like to enjoy an alcoholic drink on their way out – proving that often, the moments in-between are the bits that truly make a night unforgettable.
The BuzzBallz trend shows no signs of stopping, in fact, it was one of the most popular drinks choices among Gen Z revelers with more than a quarter of respondents calling it out as their favourite.
What’s more, for 40% of Gen Z, the traditional trip to the Off Licence isn’t just a pit stop between pre-drinks and the bar – it makes the night. Compared to just 19% of the general population, more and more young adults are turning the local shop-run into a staple part of the going-out ritual.
The activation, fronted by Love Island star and TV personality Indiyah Polack, came off the back of new research which revealed that more than a third (35%) of those polled prefer a spontaneous night out to one that’s planned.
Indiyah Polack said: “BuzzBallz just brings the energy and trust me, I need that! Between filming, events, the podcast right now and replying to emails, I’m always on the move. So when I finally get a night off with my girls (or my man!), I’m all about making it count. The packaging is cute, it fits in my bag, and it tastes like fun in a ball. Whether it’s hanging with friends in the park or somehow ending up in the club when we swore we were staying in, BuzzBallz always sets the vibe. It’s giving spontaneous, a little chaotic, flirty and exactly what I need after a long week.”
Jess Scheerhorn, Vice President of Emerging Portfolio at Sazerac said: “London’s summer scenes are non-stop; friends, festivals, park hangs, house parties, and everything in between. But let’s be real, for our consumers half the night is spent getting to the good bit. So BuzzBallz is letting people get Ballz Deep In Good Times, at any part of the night, making sure the fun doesn’t pause just because you’re not at the party…yet.”
“It has been incredible to watch BuzzBallz become a cult favourite among consumers in the UK, specifically Gen Z. It proves that fun, bold flavour and convenience are universal.”
BuzzBallz is available nationwide in leading supermarkets and off licenses, with a suggested retail price of £3.99 per singular unit.
*Free BuzzBallz were limited to one per person at the sampling station.
