BLUE DRAGON EVENTS ANNOUNCES CHARITY FUNDRAISING RUN IN AID OF VIETNAMESE STREET CHILDREN

UK based fundraising and events charity, Blue Dragon Events, has announced its inaugural fundraising event, a seven-and-a-half-kilometer race, taking place on 7th July 2024 at Ludgrove School in Berkshire. With a fundraising target of £100,000, money raised will be donated to Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, a Vietnamese-based charity that supports children and rescues victims of slavery and human trafficking in Vietnam.

The first annual event hosted by Blue Dragon Events welcomes the community to come along and learn more about the charity’s work. Everyone is invited to donate and enjoy the food and drink, with an array of food trucks and vendors serving up delicious bites and a well-stocked bar and charity raffle, the proceeds of which will all contribute towards the charity’s goal of raising £100,000 for the Foundation.

Set up by school friends, Arthur Gordon-Harris and Tissot Do in affiliation with Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, Blue Dragon Events was founded in 2023, following a pivotal moment on a trip to Hanoi. During their trip in Vietnam, the pair witnessed first-hand the need to support and provide safety to Vietnamese street children, as well as the positive impact that Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation has on children and families facing crisis throughout Vietnam.

Through the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, Tissot and Arthur met former street child Vi, and were deeply moved by his story, having been supported by the Foundation out of a life of on the street and into education, becoming the CEO of the charity.

Blue Dragon Events welcomes entrants into the race from the wider community, with registration open via email: info@bluedragonevents.co.uk
