British heritage meets playful modernity once again as Barbour and Paul Smith unveil their second collaborative collection for Spring/Summer 2026. Following the success of their inaugural partnership, the new drop dives into British coastal culture, blending maritime heritage with Paul Smith’s unmistakable eccentric flair.
Launching on 25th February 2026, the Paul Smith Loves Barbour SS26 collection spans womenswear, menswear, accessories and footwear, delivering a 46-piece unisex range that celebrates craftsmanship, colour and nostalgia.
A Celebration of British Coastal Culture
Both brands are pillars of British fashion, known for their dedication to quality and timeless design. This second collaboration builds on shared values while embracing the distinctive quirks of British seaside life.
Barbour’s maritime DNA is reimagined through Paul Smith’s playful lens, resulting in a collection defined by soft silhouettes, bright seaside hues and heritage-inspired prints. Archival photographs taken by Paul Smith and his father — including charming snapshots of melting ice creams and wind-swept deckchairs — appear in jacket linings and across selected T-shirts, adding a personal and nostalgic touch.
The collection balances classic tartans and gingham checks with polka dots and Paul Smith’s signature stripes, creating a distinctly contemporary take on coastal dressing.
Reworked Outerwear Icons
Outerwear remains at the heart of the collaboration. Barbour classics are refreshed with bold new patterns, including blue and green gingham updates to the Transport and Spey silhouettes. The iconic Durham Wax Jacket also returns in new seasonal colourways, reinforcing Barbour’s reputation for functional yet stylish outerwear.
Footwear is equally considered, featuring Paul Smith’s signature stripes alongside Barbour’s authentic tartan linings. Archive-inspired D-ring detailing nods to Barbour’s utilitarian roots while adding a modern edge.
Accessories with a Playful Twist
Accessories round out the collection with summer-ready bags inspired by traditional trout fishing designs and bucket hats finished with delicate fly-fishing embroidery.
Building on the popular pin-badge concept introduced in their first collaboration, SS26 expands the range of individually sold pins — offering collectors and fans more ways to personalise their look.
Adding to the collection’s light-hearted spirit, each jacket includes a complimentary “Fortuna Fish.” When placed on the palm of your hand, the fish’s movement aligns with a corresponding card to reveal a playful “fortune” — a whimsical nod to seaside amusements and optimistic storytelling.
