When your given the chance to return to your youth #the90s, dress in your fave throwback outfit (we’re thinking velvet choker and MoM jeans) AND watch a screening of the ultimate nineties high school flick “10 Things I hate about you“!!!On a rooftop with Radio One’s Nick Grimshaw providing the music that will transport you back to class, when Britney Spears was singing “Hit me baby one more time” in the sports hall (that’s Britney pre the infamous shaved head picture) we knew we weren’t going to be anywhere else other than The Bussey Building Rooftop Film club

In case you don’t know (and if you don’t then where have you been?)

Badoo is the social media dating phenomenon that is taking over the world!!!

#badooyouremember was the throwback party to attend with guests including Chloe Sims (TOWIE), Paul Danan (CBB) Tino Kamal (rap artist/creative) Sam Thompson ( Made in Chelsea/CBB) and a host of many more besides!
The dress code was of course Nineties get up, creating a sea of Adidas Stan Smiths, double denim and some Tamagotchis being fed in the corner! It was colourful! It was fun! It gave us our fave Pick’ n’ Mix sweet selection and we were spoilt with a set by Celeb DJ Nick Grimshaw who played a mixture of our favourite quintessential 90’s hits and present day tuuuuunes!
Typically the English weather tried to “dampen” our spirits, but Badoo had it covered with an alternative inside venue and quite simply it was just as fantastic, with glowing lights, a photo booth, popcorn and of course free food and drink for its competition winners and guests!
The highly favoured and mega talented ladies from The Braid Bar were also in attendance creating those bold braided styles on guests luscious locks!!! The Braid bar can be found inside Selfridges department store with an extensive menu of styles for your Barnet!!!

The event was smoothly run, the music never stopped, and the food and drinks were flowing nicely! The crowd was a mixed bag, with social media influencers, models, Reality tv stars and musicians! The atmosphere was true 90’s with no negative vibes and the guests smiling and complimenting each other on their best efforts to look like they just stepped out of the audience of TOTP (that’s Top Of The Pops for those of you born this side of the 90’s)
The event staff wearing their shell suit style bomber jackets were on hand to help and to make sure you got all the freebies you deserved (our fave were the body coloured heart-shaped sunglasses)!

We certainly left with a taste of nostalgia and regret – regret for those brightly coloured combat trousers we wore once upon a decade ago and the excitement to create a new 90s playlist for the car. NB tracks to include N’syncs entire album.

Download Badoo from The App Store and experience a new world dedicated to online dating.
