Amazon has teamed up with Menopause Mandate to launch Selling Menopause, a bold new awareness campaign that invites women to share unfiltered reviews of their menopause experiences on Amazon. The initiative, created by Amazon Ads Brand Innovation Lab in collaboration with the campaign group, features TV personalities Davina McCall and Morgana Robinson and aims to spark open, honest – and even humorous – conversations about a topic that affects millions but is too often kept quiet.
The campaign transforms menopause into a one-off, shoppable “product” on Amazon UK, priced at just £0.99. Each purchase supports Menopause Mandate, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving menopause education and awareness. Buyers also receive a Kindle e-book titled “Menopause — 50+ Different Symptoms: Night Sweats, Brain Fog, and More!”, a tongue-in-cheek nod to the realities women face during this stage of life.
Once “purchased,” visitors can leave a review of menopause itself, sharing their first-hand experiences. From hot flushes and night sweats to brain fog and mood swings, these reviews create a growing, public collection of authentic stories – helping women feel seen and understood while destigmatising menopause conversations.
“Around 16 million women in the UK are currently peri or menopausal, representing more than one-third of the female population,” said Kate McCagg, Head of Brand Innovation Lab at Amazon Ads. “By transforming our famous reviews into a tool for women to share authentic stories, we’re helping drive honest conversation about something so common yet rarely discussed – all while supporting the incredible work Menopause Mandate is doing.”
To bring the campaign to life, a parody shopping video features Davina McCall and Morgana Robinson humorously “selling” menopause on air. The light-hearted tone breaks down barriers, showing that humour and honesty can go hand in hand when tackling serious topics.
“I absolutely loved working with Menopause Mandate, Amazon Ads and Morgana on this genius and innovative campaign,” said McCall. “There’s always been a cloud of shame and fear hanging over menopause, and it often feels like a lonely place to be. By encouraging women to leave candid reviews on Amazon – a place millions visit daily – we can help women feel less alone, maybe have a giggle, and remind everyone that every experience is different.”
Mariella Frostrup, Chair of Menopause Mandate, added:
“This collaboration with Amazon Ads offers exciting opportunities for furthering menopause education while raising vital funds. Humour is essential in bringing menopause into the mainstream, and connecting with Amazon’s vast audience is a welcome step forward.”
Launching on October 17, 2025, during Menopause Awareness Month, Selling Menopause is more than just a clever idea – it’s a movement towards visibility, empathy, and support for women everywhere.
