Alternative F1 Podcast: F1 Tracks – Lance Stroll

The first ever F1 Tracks driver takeover has landed, with Formula One Driver Lance Stroll curating his very own playlist of top tracks.

The young Canadian, who currently drives for BWT Racing Point F1 Team has pulled together some of his top tracks which inspire and motivate him on and off the grid. As a single-minded starter, Lance has united his passion of F1 with a dynamic and varied playlist for fans to enjoy. The first ever driver take overshowcases a selection tunes, including three tracks by Red Hot Chili Peppers and three from the Rolling Stones, proving to be his favourite artists. Lance highlights the Stones’ Let It Bleed album as one of his all time favourites. The playlist also features some classic hits, including, Guns N’ Roses, “Knockin’ on Heavens Door”, and Weezer, “Island In The Sun”.

Also featured is the brand new song from Weezer, “Hero”, from the band’s forthcoming album, Van Weezer. The video for the song, pays tribute to frontline workers and in honour of the real heroes, the band teamed up with Postmates to support healthcare heroes caring for COVID-19 patients.

Despite Lance’s age and being one of the youngest drivers on the gird, his music style is highly cultured and when asked how his driving style could be summarised into a song Lance described it as Beethoven – Symphony No. 7. Identifying a visceral quality to the music, and the similarity between driving and the finale, when the musicians appear to be playing as if their lives depend on it. This perfectly sums up his incredibly eclectic taste in music.

F1 Tracks unites both music and sport, providing a dynamic platform for fans which brings the two together.
