Step 1 – Hydrate
One of the most important ways to hydrate your skin is as simple as drinking water. Drinking water not only removes toxins and waste from your body but many people swear by this for achieving radiant skin that we are all dying to have. Some may struggle with this simple step, my advice to you all would be keeping a water bottle with you at your desk or in your bag to remind you to drink more water throughout the day.
Step 2 – Exfoliate
This step for me is always a game changer, exfoliation removes dry/dead skin cells and helps to increases your blood circulation. If you are wanting the appearance of radiant skin this simple step will get you there. By gently exfoliating your skin 2-3 times a week your skin will appear smoother and look fresher as the skin cells renew. One of my favourite exfoliators has to be volcanic ash by MAC cosmetic, give this beauty must have a go.
Step 3 – Cleanse
Don’t underestimate this step cleansing your skin is very important to remove any dirt/oil build up that naturally occurs day to day. The skin can allow bacteria to build up which can easily cause breakouts. It is important to find the correct type of cleanser for your individual skin type as each persons skin is different. I would highly recommend cleansing your skin day and night for maximum benefits.
Step 4 – Tone
Toning your skin removes traces of dirt and oil, using a toner it also helps to balance your skins pH level leaving a fresh and clear completion. I love using natural toners such as rose water and lavender. I enjoy experimenting with skin care products and trialling which ones I feel work best, I particularly like cosmetic brands such as The Body Shop and Elemis that I incorporate into my daily skincare routine.
Step 5 – Moisturise
A great moisturiser is one of the ultimate skincare essentials for me. Regardless of skin type and texture moisturising your skin is highly important. Using the right type of moisturiser will help to keep your skin balanced and restore healthy looking radiance.
