One of Studio Ghibli’s talents is expertly portraying the complex world of childhood, and as an adult it’s a joy to be able to slip into that mindset again and remember what it was like to experience the world as a kid. Even if it’s your first time watching, Spirited Away gives you a feeling of nostalgia.

Based on the children’s story by Roald Dahl and directed by Danny DeVito, this whimsical story about an exceptional little girl is just as enjoyable to watch as an adult. Dahl’s unique humor and strange characters make this quirky yet wholesome movie a joy to watch at any age.
